Being newly minted Knights in late 2025, Matt and Gary Burkhart are a shining example of the Virtues of the Knights of Columbus. They jumped right in by anchoring a critical part of our parking lot program for the Candycane CHRISTmas Tree Farm season. Most recently, they were a force ensuring the success of our January Pancake Breakfast, both behind-the-scenes and on the serving line. Our pancake breakfast was well attended, by the way, and the donations were generous! We raised just under $900 for our general Fund, which sponsors such programs as the ASAP (Aid and Support After Pregnancy Program). We budget $1,800 each year, and our recipient is local. Officially supported by the Archdiocese of Detroit, the Oxford Pregnancy Center has been providing free services for women facing unplanned pregnancies since 1985. Nonjudgemental free services, counseling and mentoring for mothers and fathers-to-be. www.oxfordpregnancycenter.org
