The Dudek Family (Andy and Crystal Dudek, Jack, Shawn, Jovie and Nicholas) has stepped up as one of the families to coordinate the Coffee, Donuts and Fellowship after Sunday masses. They were a crucial part of the 2025 Parish fundraiser, anchoring the registration and donation table throughout the event. Despite a job that often sends Andy to China, they are present at the 10:30 mass and have found room in their hearts and home for Carla, a foreign exchange student from Germany. They are our Family of the Month Award recipients for June 2025.
For nine years, PGK Bill Venglar has shouldered the responsibility of running the KofC Bob Knowles Memorial Charity Fun Shoot. 49 shooters raised $1,500 each for Clarkston SCAMP ( a summer day camp for those with special needs) and Brandon Special Education, which helps developmentally delayed and challenged individuals in the local school district. Bill doesn’t stop there: He’s a frequent Wednesday woodchuck, the coordinator for our Adopt-a-Road service program, a Lead for the Renaissance Festival… I’m hard-pressed to find an activity that Bill doesn’t participate in. He is likely our council’s most active Knight, and recipient of June 2025 Knight of the Month Award.
Special recognition goes to Gerard and Anne Schmid who spent hours cleaning the rectory landscaping, and for Peter Alexander and his brother Michael who donated and spread the mulch for the St. Anne campus flowerbeds.
