Candy-cane CHRISTmas Tree Farm

I learned something amazing my first shift parking cars at Candycane CHRISTmas tree farm. (I admit, I wasn’t looking forward to standing in freezing weather for hours on my Thanksgiving weekend). What I learned? EVERYONE who gets out of a car at a Christmas tree farm is filled with the Christmas spirit! It’s truly inspiring. There hasn’t been enough time for the materialistic season to wear them down yet.  We are still in need of volunteers for our Candycane CHRISTmas tree farm parking fundraiser. Come be inspired.

Visit https://kofc6824.org/parking/ or just get a hold of me this week and I’ll sign you up.

Our November Knight of the Month is none other than Fr. John Chen. To my knowledge he is the first priest in our council to be chosen for Knight of the month. It is not only his commitment to attending our meetings, or verbalizing his support of the Knights to the parish. He has attended more events than any other priest. He was a delegate at our KofC State Convention, helped at the Renaissance Festival, visited the Firewood Fundraiser woodlot, helped renovate the benches and picked pumpkins. And that’s only in the last six months!

Our Family of the Month for November is the Family at Verde Capital Management. With Parishioners Carl Szasz and Ken Sheperd, the team at Verde came to the Cook’s field multiple times to pick hundreds of pumpkins and make our fundraiser a success.
