You may have heard (if you weren’t at the event) that your Knights council donated $5,000 to the St Anne Parish Fundraiser. That’s just about 20% of your entire yearly charitable budget. And it doesn’t happen without you, the parishioner.
The dollars you so generously put in the basket at the pancake breakfast or Franks Garden Market, or the firewood you purchase allowed us to make this donation. But it’s the sense of community that motivated our active Knights to approve such a large amount. So even though there’s a tendency for the parishioner to thank a Knight for the donation (it’s happened to me a few times already), it’s the Knight who should thank the parishioner. Thank you for making St. Anne such a vibrant, generous community in which to worship.
Our monthly Knights of Columbus Council meeting will be this coming Tuesday, May 13th, at 7:30pm in the Knight’s Room. All Brothers in good standing and their honored guests may attend (call me to register a guest). Back by popular demand: we are bringing back the Cornament after this meeting! Teams for the corn hole tourney will be chosen at random during the meeting, so please attend.
