May Knight & Family of the Month

It is my honor to announce our award recipients for May.

These two exemplary Knights have been the first to raise their hands lately whenever help is asked for. Most notably, they were on hand to assist in gathering supplies and setting up for the Parish Fundraiser, and back again once the party was over to clean up and deliver the greenery safely back to Wojo’s. They also shined in our “Tootsie Roll” fundraiser in April, taking on multiple shifts each in the busy Grange Hall Intersection. Lastly, each month, they anchor our support at the Grace Center for Hope in Flint. Our council would not have shined as brightly if not for the efforts of Kevin Booms and Raoul Coronado, and they deserve the Knights of the Month award.

Our parish fundraiser would not have gotten off the ground without the dedicated work of Kathleen Russell, supported by her right-hand man Jim Russell. Kathleen was responsible for coordinating the many parishioners who assisted in this massive undertaking. She personally pounded the pavement for many of the donations and auction items. Her son Noah emceed the event, donating his time, talent and equipment to bring the evening to life. Jim was instrumental in coordinating the ground crew to set up the room and hand-deliver nearly 100 auction items from the rectory basement, and then clean up the next morning. Our Parish is a stronger community for the Russell family, and they deserve our Family of the Month award.

Please congratulate them when you see them and give prayers of Thanksgiving for these exemplary parishioners.
