Successful MI Drive!

I’m pleased to announce the success of our 2025 MI drive! (MI stands for Mentally Impaired; better known as the Tootsie Roll Drive.) 33 Knights and wives covered 40 shifts Palm Sunday weekend and collected over $6,000. That beats 2024! And it’s worth pointing out we had a more comely group this year over last, as there were 7 more workers last year. Maybe there was no rain to hide our smiles this year?

I’d like to thank each worker individually: Jim Kelty, Greg Thurk, Randy Dresbach, Jim Vrabel, Kevin Travis, Kevin Booms (multiple shifts), Cheryl Coronado and Raoul (multiple shifts), Jay Noonan (multiple shifts), John Szedlak (multiple shifts), Bob Norris, Gerard Schmid, Jeff Stickney, Chris Apczynski, Allan Arnoldy, Craig Johnson, Ray Delasko (multiple shifts), Joyce Delasko, Ron and Eileen Delasko, Chris Maldonado, Bruce Kocer, Keith DeWitt, Ken Sheperd, Jaime Huerta, Andres Huerta, Larry Westphal, Mo Voyer, Joe Claya, Mark Hansen, Tim Andreoli, Jim Sebring (multiple shifts), and of course organizer Gary Putt (and yours truly).

With very little overhead for this fundraiser, about 90% goes to Special Olympics, Clarkston SCAMP, Brandon Schools Special Education and Michigan Arts Access (Club Create).

Thank you to all supporters who made this possible.

God Bless,

Bryan Born, Grand Knight
