Resolute: Firm or determined; unwavering. Having a decided purpose; bold; firm; steady.
Gentlemen of our parish, be resolute. Fr. Michael McGivney founded the Knights of Columbus to care for the Catholic family. The three pillars of the organization he designed are Charity, Unity and Fraternity.
Charity —St Paul writes, the greatest of all virtues is charity or love. But the modern mind has distorted these words; charity is more than giving to the needy, and love is more than romance. What these words really mean is this — to will the good of the other person for his or her own sake, even if that means suffering for me. This is the charity, the love, that Jesus had for us on the cross, and we are to approach every person with this same love and charity. (Excerpted from FatherMcGivney.org)
Embody the virtue of Charity in your New Year’s resolutions. Vow to Increase your activities in the Knights for 2026. If not yet a Knight, consider joining like-minded Catholic men with a common set of values.
The Knights of St Anne Parish hold a monthly meeting on the second Tuesday of every month, beginning with a rosary at 7 PM, followed by a meeting that typically takes around an hour. It begins and ends with prayer. Immediately following January‘s meeting will be a light meal and the first annual Dennis Jisa memorial cornhole tournament, honoring our fallen Brother who embodied the principles of the KofC (and led the laughter at Cornhole.)
All Knights and honored guests are welcome for the rosary, the meeting and the festivities. Feel free to text or call if you’re interested in being a guest.
