While the Maize and Blue stomped the team from the OreO state (sorry, Spartans), our valiant Knights braved the weather to establish parking lot safety and order for our Parishioner Cathy Genovese at her business, the CandyCane CHRISTmas Tree Farm. Our yearly support (which results in a generous donation for our local charities) is always appreciated, and the crowds were definitely at pre-COVID levels. 19 Knights and two stalwart wives handled 33 shifts averaging 4 hours each for an estimated 250 volunteer hours. (Stalwart: Def. Brave, strong, bold, one who firmly supports a cause.-Webster). I’d like to thank the following Knights and Families Ray Delasko, Jaime Huerta, Kevin Travis, Jim Russell, Cheryl and Raoul Coronado (2 shifts each), Jeff Mackey (2), Ken Sheperd (4), Bill Venglar (2), Robert Norris (2), Gary Putt (2), Jeff Hall, Mike Simons, Bruce Kocer, Bob White, Kevin Booms (2), Kathy Booms, Bryan Born (4) and Don Stalker. Super kudos to our resident Santa, Chris Apczynski. Last weekend and this holiday weekend rank among the busiest in years!
