Celebrating 50 Years of Charity, Unity & Fraternity

50 Years of Service. 50 Years of Brotherhood. 50 Years of Making a Difference. This year, our Knights of Columbus Council 6824 proudly celebrates its 50th anniversary!

For five decades, dedicated Knights and their families have answered the call to serve our parish, our community, and those in need. Through countless charitable projects, fundraisers, community events, and acts of kindness, our members have lived out the principles that have guided the Knights of Columbus from the beginning: Charity, Unity, and Fraternity.

Some of our Faith in Action programs are newer, like Frank’s Farm Market and Pumpkin Picking at Cooks Farm Dairy. Others have been around for years, like the Woodlot fundraiser and the MI Drive — which our own Gary Putt has led for 25 years straight!

This milestone is a chance to look back with gratitude at the many Knights who built and strengthened our Council over the years. Our unofficial photographer, Past Grand Knight Bryan Born, has been collecting photos of events to share, and we’ve been compiling some interesting historical statistics from our small but mighty Council’s activities over the years.

On the evening of September 30th, we’re holding our Annual Awards & Appreciation Dinner. All parishioners are welcome to join us — Knight or not — for a fabulous meal catered by Italia Gardens as we celebrate together.

To every Knight, family member, supporter, and friend who has been part of our journey: thank you for helping make the past 50 years so meaningful.

Happy 50th Anniversary to Father George Ging Council 6824.
